Information Science Inc. / Valu Consulting (Valu) is an advisory firm focused on maximizing business value by identifying and implementing revenue capture, cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities through proactive leadership, systems management and value engineering approaches supported by data science and process analytics.

Valu's team will first meet with you and your leadership team to discuss your specific objectives, identify study team resources, gather public and shared data, and investigate potential focus areas. Once we review the results of the interviews and data, Valu drafts a project charter, scope and objectives, and a list of initial hypotheses and focus areas, along with additional supporting data requirements, which we will review, validate and prioritize with your team. At that time, you will be asked to identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to work alongside our team on a part-time basis to provide institutional and process knowledge.
The next several weeks will be spent in completing Current State and Future State analyses of the focus areas using a team of our consultants and your SME resources. These analyses will rely heavily on process, data and value stream mapping to identify opportunities for revenue creation and cost savings, and to quantify the potential benefit based on revisions to current policies, operating processes and supporting systems.
The study wraps up with the preparation of a report outlining the study's findings and an archive of the data, process models and value stream maps, along with an implementation plan identifying the specific steps to be used to implement the revenue capture and cost savings steps identified during the study.
Following the completion of the study, Valu may be retained to assist in driving the implementation of the plan and associated benefits.

David L. Boone, MSSM, PMP, CBAP is Principal Consultant and Founder of Valu. He is a senior business architect, change agent and program manager with 20+ years of global consulting and operations experience. David holds a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and has completed graduate work at Harvard and Stanford Universities. Among David's professional certifications are Certified Business Architect (CBA), Certified Business Analyst (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Black Belt.
A veteran of both the US Army and US Marine Corps, he served at the rank of Major. David is active in various organizations promoting the increased participation of the disabled, minority professionals and veterans in the consulting and information technology sectors.
